Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) :

Disorders Of Heart

  and And Vessels , Include Coronary Heart Disease And stroke .

1Cardiovascular Diseases are leading
Global health problems.
2 Epidemiological  studies  have indicated
   that consuming fruits was inversely 
    Related to the risk of CVDs .

  We all know An Apple a day keeps the doctor away

An Apple keeps us healthy  not the
 Apple juice but Whole Apple as it is having
Beneficial fibers.
  3 According to WHO Report
     CVDs are responsible for 17.5million
     Deaths world wide in 2010
    4 Fruit has been suggested to play a
       major role in preventing CVDs
    5 It is estimated that diet low in fruits is 3rd               most IMP risk factor of CVDs .Following 
       High B.P. and cigarette   smoking  deaths
        Worldwide in 2010.
      6 Fruits Grape Blue berry Pomegranate
          ,Apple,Hawthorn and Avacado,shown
          Strong cardiovascular protective
         effects.
       7 Fruit is one of the main dietary sources
          Of  polyphenols.

     Polyphenols :are beneficial

     Compounds with             antioxidant properties.

     Protect against various

       Diseases.

     8 The richest sources of polyphenols
        are dark Berries such as grapes
        And berries.
     9   Pomegranate Apple Hawthorne 
           and Avocado are frequently consumed
            Polyphenols rich fruits.
                 There is evidence that fruit rich
          In polyphenols helps to control
       Cardio vascular diseases (CVDs).
      10  Epidemiological evidence supports
            that diets rich in fruit delay the
             Onset ,and attenuate the severity
             Of CVDs.

      11 Stroke cohorts study of Swedish 
           Women and men results suggested
           That consuming 3.1 servings per
           Day of total fruits alleviated total 
            Stroke risk by 13% compared with
            0.4 servings /day.                                      

       12. Study in Netherlands 20069
             Adults individuals fruit consumption
          Of Apple/Pear particularly decreased
           the risk of total stroke.
            The study in netherlands also
            Reported that consuming   greater
            Than 120grams raw fruits decreased
             Risk of hemorrhagic stroke by 47%
            compare with consuming less than or
           Equal to 120 grams /day raw fruits.
       13  The nurses Health study  showed
             that high citrus fruit / juice intake
             was related to reduced risk of ischaemic
             Stroke.
        14 Three cohort studies all reported
             that higher fruit intake was related
            with decreased risk of hypertension.

                   Clinical Trials 

                1 The anti---Hypertensive effect
        Of grape polyphenols in several 
        randomised.  Controlled trials was
        evaluated by a meta analysis .
        Results :Daily grape polyphenols 
        Intake reduced significant SBP
      (Systolic Blood Pressure)
      By 1.48mm Hg when compared
     With control subjects p=0.03
Diastolic Blood Pressure(DBP) 
        was not significantly reduced.

Several studies showed that grape reduced
TC (Total Cholesterol)  LDL-C  (low density 
Lipoprotein Cholesterol) and increased
HDL ---C 
(High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol)
Or good cholesterol.

In subjects with various risk factors
Of CVDs 

   Other berries also have lipid lowering 
Effect.

 The benefits contribute to anthocyanin.

Apples fiber component is  necessary 
For lowering lipid in human.

     Conclusion

Fruits such as Grape Blueberry , Pomergranate

Hawthorne and Avocado showed protective
Effects on cardiovascular functions.
