        Walking  For  Healthy Aging

Physical activity  , including walking has numerous health benefits
 in older
Adults.walking decreases the risk of various health out comes such as cardiovascular
and cerebrovascular diseases ,Type 2Diabetes mellitus, cognitive impairment
and dementia while also improving mental wellbeing ,sleep 
and longevity.
       Meeting current physical activity guidelines by walking 
Briskly for 30 minutes per day for 5days can reduce the risk
Of several age associated diseases.

 Life style of individuals in Blue zones 

 of the world 

   Blue zones ,Regions of the world with highest concentration of
   Centenarians.
  According to United Nations ,the number of people aged 60 years
  Or older is expected to be more than double by 2050,reaching 2.1 billion
with the increase in the aging population comes a greater focus on Healthy aging

   Blue zones Regions of the World:

1 Okinawa in Japan
2 Sardinia in Italy
3 Nicoya incosta Rica
4 Icaria in Greece
5 Seventh--day Adventist community
   In Lomia Linda  , California .
    These regions have the highest concentration of 

      Centenarians ,people who have living lived beyond 100 years and the
    Life styles of the people living in these regions have been studied including
Diet social connectedness and physical activity.
   One of the key life style characteristics in Blue Zone populations is their high
Level of physical activity, regular walking Daily errands gardening ,and 
Performing normal  labor activities.

Conclusions :   1 Walking is a powerful anti aging intervention

                   that can reduced the risk of chronic age related diseases
          Such as CVD ,Hypertension ,Type2 Diabetes mellitus and cancer
         
              
        2 Walking also improves  pain and functions of for 
             musculoskeletal
                   Disorders.
     3  Promotes sleep and mental health increases resillence .
         4  walking requires no special equipment .
          Can be done at any time of the day.
  
      

        Adverse effects of walking :  Too much walking with

    Vigorous intensity  may act as trigger for cardiovascular out

   Come such as Arrhthimas ,sudden cardiac arrest

 sudden cardiac death.
