Whole wheat Bread -Health

 All of us know that whole wheat bread is healthy

Why?as it includes bran vitamins and minerals

Simple terms the whole wheat bread is inclusive

Of fiber .

Life style changed from using stone mechanical

Age old grinder  for making wheat flour 

To electrical flour mill machines major difference the grinding was intense for electrical 

Grinder which could make very soft flour so much so that it will be as soft as face powder destroying the fiber.

Following is a report from Iranian study 

Effect of consuming whole wheat grain breads


Iranian people  eating bread is very 

Common. 40 %energy and protein need

Depends upon bread.

Iranian nutritional quality of bread can affect

Public health.

Separation of  bran from wheat decreases

The fiber vitamin and mineral content of flour.

Which can lead to difficulties in blood sugar control in diabetes.

In one Iranian study 30 years old and over 

Diabetic patients were arranged in two random groups one group was control which was asked to keep their normal routine for diet and physical activities 

And second group was asked to consume 180grams of whole wheat breads daily to be taken in 3 meals .plus their regular physical

Activities for 12 weeks 

After 12 weeks initial blood investigations 

Compared

Results; consumption of whole grain wheat

Bread can control blood sugar levels


1 Reduce Triglycerides

2 Reduce levels of total cholesterol

3  Reduce LDL cholesterol or Bad cholesterol

4 Increases HDL cholesterol

5 Reduces glycosylated Hemoglobin


Conclusions

Whole wheat grain bread is benificial

In controlling not only  blood sugar but lipid profile

Also.
